Empired's PMO services practice are looking for a passionate & talented Senior Project Manager with experience in managing "Transition" of managed services/Infrastructure projects with managed services vendors at various stages.
There are multiple vendors in this environment so there is also a need for Vendor Management skills and the current portfolio is to Transition IN our managed services model for a new client across their major infrastructure services and potentially some applications services.

Ideal Qualifications & Experience required
  • 15+ years in corporate IT environments with a Consulting background
  • 10+ years of experience as a Program or Project Manager, leading large concurrent projects with resource budgets greater than $1M
  • 5+ years of experience in Transitioning complex projects to a managed services construct – beneficial to have experience in infrastructure managed services transitions
  • Ability to work and team effectively with IT Services groups and other management personnel including on a global, virtual basis
  • Knowledge of service transition methodology, tools and templates
  • Ability to apply your PM knowledge and skills to influence and define the delivery process.
  • Excellent people skills - great influencer, passionate about developing teams, loved and respected by customers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – must be able to communicate fluently in English both verbally and in writing
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, MS Project, and other project collaboration and tracking tools
  • Illustrated experience in managing commercial and contractual aspects of projects, including strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Proven ability to manage scope and control change in a dynamic project environment
  • Certified PRINCE 2 or PMBOK practitioner
  • Familiarity with ITIL v3

About you
  • Contribute to presales proposals and prepare statements of work
  • Plan and manage multiple, concurrent projects spanning several business units
  • Planning and overseeing the transfer of key information necessary for the support, operation and acceptance of solutions deployed into production
  • Build transition plans including managed services/application support models, change management
  • Collaboratively build effective and open working partnerships with clients and business teams
  • Adhere and contribute to continuous improvement of PM methodologies and best practices
  • Manage and contribute to effective resource allocation, forecasting future resource needs based on project and program plans and/or pipeline and budgets
  • Develop and manage project scope, plans and budget estimates
  • Monitor and Control project financials and progress, accurately tracking consumption, forecasting planned effort
  • Identify, escalate and manage project risks
  • Assess, analyze, develop, document and implement changes based on requests for change
  • Lead and motivate project teams to drive the success of project and task timelines
  • Be responsible for coordinating implementation activities, providing effective team leadership including information flow to and from operations during project work
  • Liaise with business and IT partners on release scheduling and communication of progress
  • Communicate with key stakeholders regarding the status of project financials, timelines, tasks, and issues
