New Zealand's biggest SharePoint event of the year is nearly upon us

There's only a fortnight to go until this year's SharePoint Conference, held at the Duxton Hotel in Wellington on 9 - 10 June.

Richard looks after a number of customers to best use all of SharePoint’s features  to improve their businesses. Richard is working with a number of customers to implement SharePoint 2010.

Session: Voice of the Customer Westland Milk Products - 100 Level
In 2008, Westland Milk products began using SharePoint Enterprise to provide a BI portal to the business, taking advantage of Reporting Services' Integrated Mode and Excel Services to construct a BI centre. Additional stages have migrated the Intranet and Enterprise Search onto SharePoint providing a one stop shop for Dynamics CRM, Dynamics NAV and extended enterprise information. Darren Wilson from Westland Milk Products and Richard Malloch from Intergen will discuss the journey and lessons learned along the way.

Session: Building Business Applications using Business Connectivity Services and SharePoint Designer - 200 Level
How to build business applications with no code using the new evolution of the business data catalogue.  Enabling IT to deliver more value to the business more quickly.

Tony spent years architecting and deploying large scale enterprise solutions in Europe before returning to New Zealand to build a passion for SharePoint. Whilst presently focusing on the SharePoint phenomenon, his background in Infrastructure, Software Development, Project Management and product delivery provides for a holistic view of implementations which is critical for SharePoint and positions Tony as the conduit between customer, development team and the project office.

Session:  Search based Applications using SharePoint Search in 2007/2010  - 200 Level
Search can be the cornerstone of your Intranet and Intranet and provide your team and customers with an entry point into your business providing maximum bang for the buck. 

This session will discuss, demonstrate and configure enhancing the search experience within SharePoint and how you can use both the built in web parts and the Search API to enable data mash-ups.  We will also discuss when the newly available FAST Search server should be used in place of the standard SharePoint Search capability and the advantages the new document processing pipeline brings to the Search experience.
